In 2018 I was one of 100 women artists asked to create a banner for Processions 2018, a living artwork of people in Cardiff, Belfast, Edinburgh and London celebrating the centenary of the first UK women getting the vote. Working with Made in Roath in Cardiff, we created a sculptural banner representing the prow of a ship. Inspired by the designs of WW1 dazzle ships (painted by women at the RCA!), armour and camouflage, we worked together to create a striking banner which we processed through Cardiff on 10 June 2018. We accessorised with our homemade cardboard armour, which was a nod to the protection Edwardian women attending suffrage protests wore under their dresses.
